Fumio Watanabe was a Japanese actor who collaborated extensively with director Nagisa Oshima. He began his film career at Shōchiku studio in 1956 and gained recognition for his performances in the Japanese New Wave cinema. Notable works include The Street Fighter (1974) and various films directed by Oshima. Watanabe graduated from the University of Tokyo before entering the film industry.
