Freda Payne is an American singer and actress who achieved fame with her million-selling single, "Band of Gold". Notable film credits include her role in "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps" (2000). In addition to her work in film, Payne has also hosted a television talk show. She is the elder sister of Scherrie Payne, a former member of The Supremes.
