Eric Darnell is an American director who helmed the animated feature Antz (1998). He has a notable affiliation with the Madagascar franchise, directing all three films: Madagascar (2005), Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008), and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (2012). Additionally, he directed Penguins of Madagascar (2014), further expanding his work in animation. Darnell has also contributed as a storyboard artist and writer throughout his career. He is currently associated with Baobab Studio.
