Elena Zaremba is a Russian mezzo-soprano who joined the Bolshoi Opera in 1984. She made her Western debut as Vanya in A Life for the Tsar during the company's tour to La Scala in 1989. Zaremba has performed a range of roles, including Laura in The Stone Guest, Olga in Eugene Onegin, and Carmen at Bregenz in 1992. She has also sung with prestigious companies like the Royal Opera House and the Metropolitan Opera, where she debuted as Azucena in 1999. Zaremba's discography includes recordings of Erda in Das Rheingold and Ulrica in Un ballo in maschera. She appeared in The Queen of Spades - Tchaikovsky (2016).
