Denise Grey was a French actress who began her film career in the silent era with En famille (1915). She gained prominence in the 1940s through notable films such as Monsieur Hector (1940), Boléro (1942), and Devil in the Flesh (1947). After a period focused on theater, she returned to the screen in the 1930s and continued acting into her later years, appearing in the television series Les Rois maudits in 1972. Grey became widely recognized by a new generation for her role as 'Poupette' in La Boum (1980), the great-grandmother of Sophie Marceau. She also had a daughter, Suzanne Grey, who followed in her footsteps as an actress.
