David Newell is an American television actor who portrayed Mr. McFeely, the delivery man on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. His character is well-remembered for the catchphrase "Speedy Delivery!" Newell worked in the public relations department of the Fred Rogers Company, which manages the rights to the program and other series. He toured the country promoting Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood until his retirement in 2015. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he has a strong connection to the region, residing in Pittsburgh. Newell's long-standing role in Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood began in 1968.
