David Della Rocco is an Italian-American actor who portrayed the character Rocco in the cult classic The Boondock Saints (1999). His performance drew from his own personality, earning him the nickname 'The Funny Man' among fans. Della Rocco's role was specifically crafted for him by writer and director Troy Duffy, where he played a low-life mob associate aiding the MacManus brothers in their quest against crime in Boston. He reprised his role in the sequel, The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (2009), appearing in a dream sequence. Della Rocco studied acting under Susan Peretz in Los Angeles and is a member of The Actor's Studio.
