Daniel Barnett is a filmmaker who has been creating films since 1967. He has worked in various roles, including director of photography, sound recordist, and producer, and is currently the Executive Producer for Educational Projects at bePictures, Inc. Barnett has taught film production and theory at several institutions, including SUNY Binghamton and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His work includes the film 'Planet of the Sharks' (2016) and he is the author of 'Movement as Meaning in Experimental Film' published in 2008. He has received a National Endowment for the Arts grant and his films are part of collections in New Zealand, Australia, and France.
