Damla Sönmez is a Turkish actress who made her film debut in Kampüste çiplak ayaklar (2009). She gained recognition for her performance in Bornova Bornova (2009), for which she received multiple awards, including the Antalya Golden Orange Award. Sönmez's other notable works include Mahpeyker - Kösem Sultan (2010), where she portrayed an Ottoman Empire Sultan, and Kurtulus Son Durak (2012), in which she played an abused girl. She also appeared in Uzun Hikaye (2012) as an attorney's daughter and Sen Aydinlatirsin Geceyi (2013) as a young girl with the ability to stop time. Sönmez won the Antalya Golden Orange Award for her role in Bornova Bornova.
