Cochin Haneefa was an Indian actor, director, and screenwriter who began his career in the 1970s. He initially portrayed villainous characters before gaining fame as a prominent comedian in Malayalam cinema. Over his career, he appeared in more than 300 films across Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi languages, including notable works such as Anniyan (2005) and Sivaji: The Boss (2007). As a director, he directed Aankiliyude Tharattu (1987) and Valtsalyam (1993).
