Chris Bruno is an American actor who played Sheriff Walt Bannerman in the USA Network series The Dead Zone. He began his career in theater and sports during college, where an injury led him to audition for a lead role in The Mandrake. After graduating from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he joined the cast of NBC's Another World as Dennis Carrington Wheeler, earning a nomination for a Soap Opera Award. Bruno also appeared as Michael Delaney on ABC's All My Children and had guest roles on sitcoms like The Nanny and Suddenly Susan. He starred alongside Anthony Hopkins in The World's Fastest Indian (2005) and appeared in the television movie Prison Break: The Final Break. He directed an episode of The Dead Zone, dedicated to his late mother.
