Brigitte Fossey is a French actress who gained early fame for her role in the film Forbidden Games. She was only five when she starred in this film, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. After a hiatus from acting to focus on her education, she returned to the screen in 1967 with Le Grand Meaulnes, directed by Jean-Gabriel Albicocco. Fossey has collaborated with filmmakers such as François Truffaut and Robert Altman, appearing in films like Quintet (1979) and The Party (1980). In addition to her film career, she has also worked in television and served as a jury member at the 32nd Berlin International Film Festival. Fossey was married to director Jean-François Adam, with whom she has a daughter.
