Brian Mahoney is a former US Army helicopter pilot who transitioned to acting after a decade of military service. He made his film debut in 'The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day' (2009). Prior to his acting career, Mahoney trained as a Cobra pilot and studied at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University while stationed in Germany. His journey to Hollywood began after he was inspired by the film 'Top Gun', leading him to pursue acting lessons in Los Angeles. Mahoney's theatrical experience includes a notable role as Vince in 'Buried Child', where he impressed during his audition by performing from the floor. His move to acting marked a significant shift from his prior career in the military.
