Bill Thompson was an American radio personality and voice actor who provided the voice for Droopy in numerous Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoons from 1943 to 1958. He was also a featured comedian on the radio series Fibber McGee and Molly. In addition to his radio work, Thompson lent his voice to characters in various animated films, including the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland (1951). He passed away in 1971.
