Azad Abul Kalam is a Bangladeshi actor, director, writer, and activist who won the Meril Prothom Alo Award for Best Playwright in 2012. He is a co-founder of Prachyanat and the Prachyanat School of Acting and Design. His film credits include Jole Jwole Tara (2025), Omar (2024), and Kajolrekha (2024). He adapted Muhammed Zafar Iqbal’s novel, "Sabuj Velvet" for television.
