Ana Torrent is a Spanish actress who made her film debut in 1973 with the lead role in El espíritu de la colmena (The Spirit of the Beehive). She gained recognition for her performance as the younger version of the protagonist in Cría cuervos (Raise Ravens) (1976), directed by Carlos Saura. In 1996, she earned a Goya Award nomination for her role in Tesis (Thesis), directed by Alejandro Amenábar. Torrent's portrayal of a Basque nationalist in Yoyes (1999) received critical acclaim. In 2008, she played Catherine of Aragon in The Other Boleyn Girl, alongside Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson.
