Alma Pöysti is a Swedish-speaking Finnish actress who gained international recognition for her portrayal of artist and author Tove Jansson in the film Tove (2020). A graduate of the Theatre Academy of Helsinki in 2007, she began her career performing on stage at the Swedish Theatre in Helsinki and the Finnish National Theatre. Pöysti's notable film roles include Ansa in Aki Kaurismäki's Fallen Leaves (2023), which won the Jury Prize at Cannes, and her performances in Four Little Adults (2023) and A Day and a Half (2023). She has received multiple Jussi Awards, including one for Best Leading Actress, and a Golden Globe nomination for her work in Fallen Leaves.
