Alia Shawkat is an American actress who portrayed Maeby Fünke in the television sitcom Arrested Development (2003–2006; 2013–2019). She gained recognition for her role as Dory Sief in the dark comedy series Search Party (2016–2022) and appeared as Gertie Michaels in the horror-comedy film The Final Girls (2015). Shawkat has also featured in State of Grace and The Old Man, and made guest appearances as historical figures in Comedy Central's Drunk History. Her film credits include Green Room (2016) and Blink Twice (2024).
