Alex Honnold is an American rock climber known for his free solo ascents of significant rock formations. He completed the Yosemite Triple Crown, which involves climbing Mount Watkins, The Nose, and the Regular Northwest Face of Half Dome in 18 hours and 50 minutes. Honnold has also set the speed record for The Nose with a time of 2:23:51 alongside Hans Florine. His climbing philosophy emphasizes tackling tall, long routes efficiently. Honnold appeared in the documentary Free Solo (2018).
