Alan Young was an English-Canadian-American actor who won an Emmy Award for Best Actor for his work on The Alan Young Show (1950). He portrayed Wilbur Post in the television series Mister Ed (1961–1966), where he communicated with a talking horse. Young's career spanned across radio, television, and film, with appearances in The Great Mouse Detective (1986) and The Time Machine (2002). He lent his voice to Scrooge McDuck for Disney from 1974 until his passing in 2016. Young was also a skilled musician and released several music albums.
