Akın Aksu is a Turkish actor who portrayed Imam Veysel in Ahlat Agaci (2018). He completed his education in Fine Arts in Canakkale and began writing for local newspapers and literary magazines during his studies. Ahlat Agaci, which he co-scripted with Ebru Ceylan and Nuri Bilge Ceylan, premiered at the 71st Cannes Film Festival and was released in Turkey on June 1, 2018. Aksu has also written the screenplay for Kuru Otlar Ustune, another film by Nuri Bilge Ceylan. He previously worked as a teacher in Erzincan and currently resides in Istanbul.
